Job Summary:

The Labor and Delivery Nurse is responsible for the planning and provision of nursing care to patients and their families during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, including emergency situations and circulating for C-Sections.

Supervises and delegates care responsibilities to ancillary personnel commensurate with their scope of practice. Education and Work Experience:

Associate Degree(A.S.) or equivalent: Required

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing: Preferred

Two years experience of Labor & Delivery: Required Licenses/Certifications:

Current RN license in state of practice: Required

Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support): Required

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification: Required

Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course: Required

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Healthstream Advanced Cardiac Life Support (HS-ACLS) or RQIACLS: Required

Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) or Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN): Required
