Job Summary:

The Guest Experience Coordinator is responsible for supporting the needs of touring artists and sporting events while monitoring crowd behavior in a friendly, service-oriented manner that maintains peace and order and keeps all fans and employees safe. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated, self-motivated, professional leader who works well within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage events as needed at Little Caesars Arena, Pine Knob Music Theatre, Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill, Meadow Brook Amphitheatre, Comerica Park, and the Fox Theatre.

Assist with the Tour Program including scheduling tours and tour guides.

Develop event notes for select events and assist with preparatory tasks.

Manage the year-round purchasing for the Guest Experience Department.

Oversee and manage the Summer Operations Assistants.

Provide support to Guest Experience department by assisting with guest recovery using all our channels including Qualtrics, email, and phone calls.

Manage uniforms, distribution, and compliance for each venue/event.

Assist with staffing private events and other seasonal initiatives such as Magic of Lights and Court of Dreams.

Assist in hiring, training and staff development at each of the venues including attending the bi-weekly orientations.

Assist with managing the equipment for the GE department including radios, scanners, and batteries.

Manage the time approval process for Guest Experience department by using our Workday platform.

Assist with colleague appreciation.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Business, Hospitality, Sports Management or related field.

Proven office management, administrative or assistant experience.

Must have working knowledge and ability to use web and software-based scheduling and payroll programs.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Attention to detail and highly organized with the ability to prioritize work.

Ability to handle highly confidential information.

Must have ability to receive directions and requests from multiple sources

Working Conditions:

Irregular and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Exposure to moderate - high noise level.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Frequent visual/auditory attention.

Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.

While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is regularly exposed to a facility environment, outside weather conditions, extreme cold/heat, chemicals, electricity, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places; and fumes or airborne particles.
