Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of 15 inspectors and project managers on diverse DOT inspection projects, including above-water, climb, underwater, and timber inspections.
Provide expertise in structural inspections, ensuring high-quality execution and compliance with industry standards.
Oversee the development and training of team leaders and junior project managers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth.
Serve as a subject matter expert in structural inspections, conducting quality control checks and ensuring precision in project delivery.
Engage in occasional travel to perform field inspections and support project quality assurance.
Supervise AutoCAD and MicroStation drafting processes for inspection reports.
Assist in business development efforts, nurturing client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
Mentor and coach engineering and technical staff, guiding them towards career development and professional excellence.
Prioritize safety and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols across projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive engineering experience, with a focus on project management.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) and/or Structural Engineer (S.E.) certification required.
Completion of NHI 130055 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges (80-hour course).
