Entry Level Mechanical Engineer
Job Overview:
Hands-on experience in all of shop floor operations, starting with running production and floor inspection and progressing through setting up CNC machining processes and executing them.
Next level opportunity of designing and executing manufacturing processes from scratch to include raw material selection, process design, tooling selection, fixture design, inspection plan design, and process verification.
Assist with process improvement to include improving CNC machining processes, inspection gage design and manufacture, robotic cell operation and implementation of Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate as a part of shop floor teams to maximize the output of the machines on the shop floor while maintaining a high standard for quality, cleanliness and organization.
Fulfill the shop floor best practices outlined as a part of our AS9100 Aerospace Quality System.
Learn the practical application of basic manufacturing engineering practices including understanding Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, particularly as they are applied on the shop floor for production parts.
Document manufacturing processes, tool life expectations, and logistical considerations to help ensure the production of quality products that meet Customer specification and satisfaction.
Follow engineering best practices, company standards, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Demonstration of a positive attitude that impacts the existing company culture.
Ability to adjust to increased workloads displaying a helpful work ethic.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with production teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze quality data.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Capacity to learn and understand mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and desire to solve problems in quality focused environment.
