Job Description
The R&D & Product Development Administrator plays a key role in supporting both research initiatives and product development efforts within the company. This position ensures smooth operations, facilitates communication across teams, and manages essential administrative functions. The individual will assist in project tracking, documentation, and compliance while supporting innovation and new product development.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support: Manage daily administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining records.
Project Coordination: Assist in tracking research and product development projects, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure timely progress.
Budget & Procurement: Oversee financial expenditures related to R&D and product development projects, including purchasing and vendor management.
Document Management: Organize and maintain technical documents, patents, research reports, compliance records, and product specifications.
Communication: Serve as a liaison between R&D, product development teams, and other departments, ensuring seamless information flow.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies for both research and new product initiatives.
Database Management: Maintain research data, inventory logs, and essential documentation for project tracking.
Event Coordination: Plan R&D and product development meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
CAD & PDM Management: Oversee SolidWorks models, drawings, and revisions, ensuring proper Product Data Management (PDM) processes are followed. Provide support for design collaboration and version control.
Product Development Support: Assist in organizing prototype testing, tracking product iterations, and facilitating collaboration between engineering and design teams.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
3+ years of administrative experience, ideally in an R&D or technical environment.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in office management software (MS Office, project tracking tools).
Experience managing SolidWorks files and utilizing PDM systems for version control.
Knowledge of product development processes and design iteration tracking.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of research methodologies and project management principles.
Experience with budgeting and financial administration.
Familiarity with intellectual property and patent processes.
