Job Description

Job Title: Land Controller

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (4 days onsite / 1 day remote)

Company: Residential Homebuilder

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee land development budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting

Collaborate with construction, land, and accounting teams on financial reporting

Support due diligence and analysis for new land deals

Prepare variance reports and ensure alignment with strategic financial goals

Ensure timely vendor payment and compliance with corporate standards

Use tools like Solver (a plus) and Excel for analysis and reporting

Qualifications:

Homebuilding experience strongly preferred, especially with land development processes

Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

3–5+ years in land development finance, construction accounting, or related field

Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills

No supervisory experience required—ideal for a collaborative, proactive team player
