Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Seeking to hire a Mechanical Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity in Golden Valley, MN. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of innovative products for our client, a leading global provider of intuitive, connected home solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Utilize Creo software to design parts and assemblies.

Conduct detailed tolerance analysis to support product robustness.

Develop engineering specifications that define technical requirements.

Create and assemble prototype products for testing and evaluation.

Design and execute tests aimed at identifying design issues and validating design robustness.

Perform analysis on failed products to determine the root cause of failure.

Prepare and write engineering change documents to document modifications and updates.

Collaborate within cross-functional development teams, including participation with international team members.

Other Details:

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, typical hours/flexible start times between 7–9 am

Hybrid schedule with Monday and Friday remote

Location: Golden Valley, MN

Duration: Long Term-1 Year +

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a similar degree

Understanding of manufacturing processes; molding, machining, stamping

3+ years' experience designing high volume plastic, cast, machined, and sheet metal parts

Experience and proficiency with Creo

Proficiency using MS Office applications, Outlook, Teams, Excel, WordCompany Description
