Position Overview:

We’re seeking a hands-on HVAC Draftsman who can wear multiple hats: produce clean and accurate shop drawings, assist with estimating, and support project management tasks when needed. The ideal candidate is a team player who isn’t afraid to take initiative, can verify field conditions independently, and understands what it takes to deliver a job from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

Create detailed HVAC shop drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit

Perform field visits to take accurate site measurements and verify existing conditions

Assist in estimating ductwork and mechanical scopes for fabrication and install

Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other trades to avoid conflicts in the field

Generate cut sheets and support fabrication using Icon/Vicon plasma software (a plus)

Support PMs with RFIs, submittals, material takeoffs, scheduling, and field follow-up

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in HVAC drafting, coordination, or mechanical estimating

Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; Revit and Icon/Vicon experience a strong plus

Strong field sense—can read plans, measure accurately, and problem-solve on-site

Familiarity with mechanical code, duct standards, and coordination processes

Must be detail-oriented, accountable, and able to meet deadlines without handholding

Valid driver’s license required for site visits

Must be a team player with a get-it-done attitude
