Full Stack Developer – Financial Compliance Innovation (Hybrid or Fully Remote)

Location : London or Remote

Hours : 8:30 – 5:30 (Some flexibility required)

An innovative financial organisation is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join a fast-paced development team working on a next-generation transaction monitoring application. This greenfield project will support anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) initiatives and is designed for long-term development and global scalability.

Responsibilities:

Develop a cloud-based platform for internal and external use, including modules for transaction monitoring, client profiling, and analytics

Implement responsive front-end interfaces using React and TypeScript, based on Figma designs

Build robust back-end services using Python (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Alembic) and other modern tools

Contribute to event-driven architecture via Kafka for integration with other financial systems

Ensure scalability, security, and maintainability across the stack

️ Tech Stack:

Frontend : React, TypeScript, Next.js/Angular

Backend : Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, Alembic

Infrastructure : Azure, Kafka, SQL (PostgreSQL, MSSQL), Docker

Testing & Quality : Pytest, Mypy, Ruff, Poetry

Ideal Candidate:

0.5 to 3 years of relevant experience or research-based background

Ability to write clean, well-documented, and scalable code

Experience across the full development lifecycle

Strong interest in compliance, fintech, or platform engineering

Qualifications:

Minimum 2:1 degree in a STEM subject (undergraduate or master's level)
