Description:

About Mach Industries

Founded in 2022, Mach Industries is a rapidly growing defense technology company focused on developing next-generation autonomous defense platforms. At the core of our mission is the commitment to delivering scalable, decentralized defense systems that enhance the strategic capabilities of the United States and its allies. With a workforce of approximately 120 employees, we operate with startup agility and ambition.

Our vision is to redefine the future of warfare through cutting-edge manufacturing, innovation at speed, and unwavering focus on national security. We are dedicated to solving the next generation of warfare with lethal systems that deter kinetic conflict and protect global security.

The Role

As Material Program Manager at Mach Industries, you will be the linchpin of our material planning and supply chain execution, ensuring seamless alignment of material supply with program demands across complex vehicle programs. This role demands a highly analytical leader with strong technical acumen and cross-functional collaboration skills. You will drive end-to-end material requirements planning, manage multilevel Bills of Materials (BOMs), and lead the ‘Clear to Build’ process, partnering with Business Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Test, Integration, and Supply Chain teams. You will also play a critical role in shaping our ERP, MES, and WMS systems to enhance automation, data transparency, and planning fidelity as we scale.

This is a role for a strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced environments, earns trust through competence and clarity, and knows how to balance operational execution with long-term system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end material requirements planning to balance supply and demand across the value chain—from concept to production and customer delivery.

Maintain real-time visibility into material demand, supply sources, inventory levels, and constraints.

Translate multilevel BOMs and program schedules into actionable material plans in collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Integration teams.

Own the ‘Clear to Build’ process, ensuring timely material availability and cross-functional alignment to meet build schedules.

Drive procurement and sourcing strategies, generating material requirement signals and allocation plans for constrained or at-risk materials.

Develop near- and mid-term material forecasts to inform sourcing, capacity planning, and supply chain strategies.

Identify supply chain risks and coordinate with Supply Chain, Logistics, and Engineering to propose creative solutions and drive resolution.

Maintain accurate part and planning master data, including lead times, manufacturing allocations, yields, attrition, order policies, and offsets.

Serve as a key stakeholder in the design and integration of ERP, MES, and WMS systems, driving automation, reporting, and planning fidelity.

Lead the evolution of MRP and ERP/MES processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and cross-functional transparency.

Develop applications, dashboards, and reports to track KPIs and support business scalability.

Ensure materials conform to government regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR, NDAA) and customer requirements.

Act as connective tissue between Business Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Test, and Supply Chain teams, surfacing risks early and driving momentum.

Execute routine procurement activities for standard components as needed.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain/Operations Management, Business, or equivalent (10+ years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree).

5+ years of experience in material planning, demand planning, master scheduling, production control, or supply chain/manufacturing in a fast-paced environment.

Proven success managing BOMs, lead times, and planning master data within MRP/ERP systems.

Experience with cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Logistics.

Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to analyze material demand, develop forecasts, and align supply strategies with program schedules.

Deep familiarity with enterprise systems (PLM, ERP, MES) and data analysis tools (Excel, Tableau, SQL, Power BI).

Ability to navigate ambiguity, resolve conflicts, and lead with calm under pressure.

Clear communicator who can translate technical and operational needs into actionable plans and accountability across teams.

Familiarity with defense industry compliance requirements (ITAR, EAR, NDAA).

Experience in hardware-integrated manufacturing or regulated industries (defense, aerospace, automotive).

Exposure to high-stakes, fast-paced environments or early-stage/growth-stage companies.

Track record of implementing or optimizing ERP/MES systems in a manufacturing context.
