A Tulsa-based fabrication company is looking for a well-qualified Quality Control Inspector/Manager with CWI certification. This position is primarily responsible for managing the QC program and overseeing all QC functions & tasks for our fabrication projects, working with our operations team, employees, and customer's inspectors. Responsibilities will also include admin. duties, maintaining daily reports, logbooks, & data entry. A successful candidate is a well-organized, analytical, problem-solver with the ability to work efficiently and effectively with other functional areas to meet or exceed quality and delivery requirements. This candidate will also have a background in fabrication of AGA 3/API 14.3 measurement equipment, Production & Process equipment, ASME Code Sect. VIII Pressure Vessels, and structural equipment.
Responsibilities
• Manages and conducts QC inspections, verify project scope, sign-off on hold points, reviews quality related issues with employees, review project drawings, and other QC related tasks.
• Complete daily data entry tasks and maintain QC reports, testing documentation, and building customer data booklets.
• Works with customer's QC/QA inspectors and/or 3rd party inspectors to ensure company is meeting customers' requirements.
• Assists Operations in expediting critical orders.
• Oversee quality and technical services in resolving quality issues, customer claims, and developing corrective actions to ensure fabricated products meet our exceed customer's expectations.
• Manages and maintains multiple reports and Work-In-Progress schedules (WIP Report).
• Participates in meetings, audits, and inspections, as needed.
• Assists teams with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
Desired Experience
• Highly skilled & proficient in Microsoft Office 365, specifically Excel, Outlook, and other computer programs.
• Strong knowledge of QC inspections & processes in fabrication environment.
• Background in Oil & Gas industry with related experience with pipe, flanges, fittings, valves, structural material, and other steel products.
• Ability to work well with team members.
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Highly motivated self-starter that is adept at taking initiative.
• Open minded problem solver willing to experiment with new approaches.
• Must be able to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Minimum of 8+ years in a manufacturing environment.
