Pellet/ Feed Mill Driver- CDL-A
Pay range: $24 - $30/ hour
We are looking for a full-time Pellet/ Feed Mill Driver to join our team. The primary responsibility of the Pellet/ Feed Mill Driver is loading and delivery of compost and fertilizer, as well as loading and delivery of feed. The secondary responsibility is to keep equipment in top condition through cleaning and preventative maintenance. This position will also assist in bagging duties as needed, and may be required to drive for other areas of the farms.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pickup and delivery of manure, compost and fertilizer.
Warehouse operations: must be able to move and stack pallets of finished product and place pallets on/take off pallet racking with care.
Maintain proper paperwork (logs, shipping documents, etc.).
Can be counted on to meet or exceed standards in the tasks performed for the department without sacrificing quality or personal safety, and encourages department to do the same.
Maintains a clean and organized work area to avoid accidents.
Work effectively with other departments.
Assist in bagging as required.
Maintains clean breakroom.
Look for observed hazards or opportunities for improvement and communicate with management.
Performs other duties as requested.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
This individual is expected to have a general knowledge of agricultural equipment operation or a strong aptitude for operating equipment.
Must be skilled in the operation of a fork lift, skid steer and loader.
Able to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
Able and willing to be flexible and work in a changing environment.
Has strong organizational skills.
Must have a high degree of initiative.
Able to perform job duties independently
MUST HAVE A VALID CDL-A LICENSE
Must be able to haul 100,000 pounds
Must be able to drive an 18 & !3 speed manual transmission
This position is mobile in nature requiring moderate to high energy levels and occasional physical exertion. There is exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, temperature changes, agricultural noise, dust, odors, and hazards usually accompanied by visits to agricultural facilities
The constant physical demands of the position are standing and walking

The constant physical demands of the position are talking and hearing
Sitting in a truck and driving long distances.
