Primary Purpose:

As the Conference and Event Manager, you'll be the bridge between clients and the hotel operations team, ensuring seamless event execution, optimizing revenues, and uncovering up-sell opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Client Liaison: Communicate with clients to prepare and finalize event documents.

Banquet Coordination: Distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) on time.

Upselling: Present upgrade opportunities and manage agreements and deposits.

Event Management: Partner with hotel staff for pre-and post-event meetings, ensuring client satisfaction.

Room Management: Monitor guest room allocations and optimize revenue opportunities.

Payment Management: Oversee client payments from deposits to final bills.

Documentation: Use Hotel Sales & Catering software to document interactions and attach vital documents.

Client Engagement: Coordinate tours and meetings, and be present during key event moments.

Sales Support: Collaborate with the Director of Events and Sales & Marketing in sales activities.

Revenue Verification: Audit banquet checks for accurate revenue posting.

Billing Oversight: Review bills post-event for timely and accurate billing.

Commission Management: Process commission payments and award loyalty points.

Meeting Participation: Engage in various meetings to discuss group specifics.

Other Duties: Perform any other tasks required to fulfill the role.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum two years in Conference & Event servicing or hotel Event Services, Banquet, or Group Sales.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Certification: Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) preferred.

Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with industry-specific sales and catering programs preferred.

Travel: Less than 20% travel; valid driver's license required.

Physical: Up to 8+ hours sitting at a desk and computer work.

Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Competencies:

Organizational Agility: Understands organizational workings and cultures.

Negotiating: Skilled in negotiating with internal and external groups.

Customer Focus: Dedicated to meeting customer expectations and building trust.

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
