The EMS Educator should provide educational and training activities for both Company staff as well as the general public. This includes but is not limited to:
State and National certification courses such as EMR, EMT, AEMT and Paramedic.
Conversion or bridge courses to enable Allied Health Care personnel to successfully operate in our EMS system.
Accredited continuing education courses for our Company personnel.
Certification courses recognized by professional organizations and NGO’s, such as CPR, ACLS, PHTLS, etc.
Internal training specific to Company clinical practice needs.
Primary Responsibilities
Teach state and national certification courses
Teach remedial programs to assist employees in need of targeted review of skills and/or didactic knowledge.
Teach training or continuing education offerings driven by QA/QI findings.
Provide monthly accredited CE classes for Company personnel.
Develop and deliver effective training programs for EMS personnel
Design curriculum and instructional materials for EMS courses
Conduct classroom and practical training session to educate EMS students
Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback
Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in EMS field
Collaborate with other instructors and stakeholders to enhance the EMS training program
Assist with field ALS care as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Texas paramedic certification
Minimum of two (2) years EMS experience
Minimum of one (1) years progressive EMS training and education experience
Texas State EMS Instructor certification or ability to acquire one within 1 month of hire
Full-time
