Job Responsibilities & Requirements:
Direct and execute geotechnical project assignments including engineering analysis, report preparation, field exploration, and laboratory services.
Provide project-level development of proposals and reports and meet client commitments.
Oversee and manage geotechnical projects during design and construction.
Execute field inspections and investigations.
Bring advanced and insightful geotechnical engineering solutions.
Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects.
Follow and support all site safety policies and procedures.
Perform slope stability, deep and shallow foundation analyses, including pile capacity, drivability calculation, shaft capacity analyses, wall foundation evaluations (standard and special design walls), soil evaluations, and relevant geotechnical engineering studies.
Communicate with both internal staff and external clients.
Respond to RFPs related to geotechnical services.
Perform other duties as required by the Department Manager and supervisors. Education
MS or PhD in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering. Work Experience
3 - 5 years of Geotechnical Engineering experience is required.
Project-specific experience performing geotechnical engineering analysis, including but not limited to bearing capacity determination, estimated settlement of shallow foundations, axial and/or lateral capacity of deep foundations, slope stability evaluations, and pavement design.
Experience navigating and utilizing software such as FB-Deep, FB-Multipier, APILE, LPILE, GRLWEAP, GeoStudio, etc.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated performance of independent analysis and demonstrated strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Strong personal safety awareness.
Excellent work ethic.
Experience in heavy civil infrastructure in project work is preferred. Preferred Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within a reasonably agreed-upon time of joining. Company Perks + Benefits
