Summary of Position:
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be focused on evaluating and improving the end-to-end experience for Home Internet users by testing broadband gateway firmware, Wi-Fi network performance, and mobile app functionality. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for usability, performance, and quality across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Essential Functions:
Design, develop, and execute high-quality test cases and suites that validate firmware, Wi-Fi networks, and T-Mobile’s mobile application
Perform exploratory and structured UAT to identify real-world issues before public release
Partner closely with developers and Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) to align on test automation strategies and reusability
Create and maintain test plans covering functional, regression, smoke, and customer experience testing based on User Stories and product requirements
Review project deliverables to ensure they align with QA and IT standards
Provide data-driven recommendations to leadership on product readiness and potential risks
Support continuous improvement initiatives across QA processes, tools, and documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and close quality gaps, and address Internal Audit and IT-Quality findings
Present findings and quality metrics to stakeholders through clear, concise reports and presentations

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee in this position frequently communicates with other co-workers/clients who have inquiries about the various projects and other needs. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. The employee in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operate a computer and office machinery such as a calculator, keyboard, copy machine, and printer. Frequently moves boxes with equipment weighing up to 25 lbs across the building and/or to other offsite buildings for various project needs.
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or general equivalent
3+ Years of Experience
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of experience with formal SDLC and QA methodologies
• Hands-on experience with:
o Broadband gateway firmware testing
o Wi-Fi network performance and troubleshooting
o Mobile app testing on iOS and Android platforms
• Proven ability to develop test documentation such as Test Plans, Test Cases, and Traceability Matrices
• Strong analytical and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with customer-facing telecom products, especially home internet services
• Familiarity with automation tools and test management platforms
• Understanding of networking protocols and diagnostic tools
