Job Description:
The inventory specialist provides support to the warehouse manager by conducting cycle counts, inventory analysis and research, and inventory updates to ensure the book inventory is correct for what is actually on the floor. The ideal candidate will be professional, self-starter, knowledgeable of inventory controls and practices. Additionally, the candidate must be flexible for an ever changing, fast-paced work environment and process multiple requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Set delivery appointments and process daily receiving into the system, researching when there are errors and make claims to suppliers as needed
Communicate with office staff as needed to ensure all claims are paid
Check in all returns from drivers ensuring accuracy
Perform all cycle counts as requested or scheduled
Perform all triggered counts of product as needed based off returns from drivers and salespeople or requests from other staff
Prepare documents and participate in quarterly physical inventory
Repack inventory as requested to meet customer demands
Prepare items to ship via Fed Ex as requested
Order and ensure proper supplies are in stock
Perform other duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of previous management experience in warehouse/distribution environment
Experience and knowledge of Wine/Beer/Liquor SKU’s
2+ years experience with Inventory/Warehouse Management systems and cycle counting processes
Experience with JB3/AS400/WMS
Microsoft Office experience (Excel Reporting)
Strong organizational skills, versatility, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills
Warehouse Equipment experience and knowledge
Ability to work as a team member and communicate with all levels of the company
Ability to run reports through database queries
Experience with data analysis and investigation processes
Experience with Warehouse Receiving
Knowledge with Driver Checkin procedures, Product returns functions
