Our award winning Motel 6, with a score of 9.2 on Booking.com, is seeking a driven and hands-on Assistant General Manager who is being groomed to be our next General Manager. This is a key leadership position designed for a high-potential candidate who wants to take the next steps in their hospitality career. We will work with you, teaching you all aspects of hotel operations while increasing your responsibilities in preparation for your transition into a GM role.
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the hotel from guests to staff, including housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk and property condition.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Manage, train and motivate staff, set goals and make sure that they are being met.
Submit payroll reports
Monitor and analyze financial performance, adjusting as necessary to ensure profitability.
Address any guest feedback in reviews, handle any complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
Look for strategies to improve the hotel and share your ideas.
Ensure all safety and security procedures are in place and being followed.
Attend meetings to help network the hotel and keep up with industry changes and practices.
Be a confident marketing agent for the hotel.

Requirements
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
Knowledge of hotel industry trends and best practices
Minimum of 3 years of experience in management
Must be a strong leader with good communication skills both oral and written
Must be a self-motivated team builder
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new computer programs
