Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

SUMMARY

Shipper/Receiver handles all parts shipments coming into and leaving the dealership. Additionally stocks the shipments into the warehouse and assists in the inventory accuracy of the dealership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Work in a team environment.

Must have a good working knowledge of parts numbers and parts usage and understand applications for use as well as the dealer business system.

Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with inventory to rectify damages and shortages.

Compares identifying information for parts incoming and outgoing for shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

Determine if parts filling orders are for pickup at parts counter, delivery to customer by driver, or if they are for a shop repair order.

Accurately put away parts from stock orders and locate new inventory. Keep the warehouse clean and items properly located and easily accessible for daily business.

Conduct inventory counts with inventory control ensuring accuracy of dealership inventory. Off-site counting of consignment inventory at customer locations is sometimes needed.

Assist in identifying inventory that is not visually moving and provide suggestion on alternative stocking locations of fast moving parts for ease of business. Provide feedback on max inventory levels of parts to inventory control to prevent unsafe work environment.

Work with inventory control on monthly and bi-monthly returns to OEM manufacturers complying with shipment requirements and deadlines.

Proper operation of equipment to safety and productivity requirements, including but not limited to: Lift Truck or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas. Proper use of personal protective equipment is required. Operate all machinery, tools and equipment in a safe manner. Advise parts manager if there is anything in need of repair.

Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies needed for the warehouse.

Work with drivers and outside salespersons on staging of parts for delivery or pickup.

Adhere to and promote all existing health and safety policies in the workplace to reinforce the Hunter culture of a safe work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic computer knowledge required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Complete and pass OSHA approved forklift training required

Valid Driver’s License required; must meet company insurability standards
