Technical Writer

Overview:

A leading provider of mission-critical data acquisition and telemetry systems is seeking a highly motivated Technical Writer to join its engineering team. This role is essential in producing clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation that supports innovative technologies used across defense and aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain technical documentation including user manuals, system operation guides, installation instructions, and engineering reports.

Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to gather technical content and ensure accuracy.

Translate complex systems and software functions into clear documentation for both technical and non-technical users.

Edit and standardize materials according to internal style guides and industry standards (MIL-STD preferred).

Organize documentation in accessible formats using tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, or MadCap Flare.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high-tech industries.

Strong understanding of documentation best practices and technical communication principles.

Familiarity with military documentation standards and structured authoring is a plus.

Excellent attention to detail, writing skills, and ability to manage multiple projects.
