The Project Leader I (Telecommunications) is a leadership role responsible for driving strategy, overseeing project execution, and ensuring successful, profitable outcomes for highly complex projects or multiple concurrent initiatives. This position requires strong expertise in Telecommunications Systems, including Fiber Optic and Structured Cabling, CCTV, OSP and ISP Copper, as well as DAS.
Responsibilities:
Leading the design and deployment of Integrated Infrastructure and telecommunications systems.
Establishing and implementing procedures and controls to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Developing and maintaining resource-loaded project schedule in MS Project.
Coordinating and running a project kick-off meeting (PKOM) and key monthly project (KPR) reviews.
Forecasting cash flow and manpower needs for projects.
Researching and compiling submittals, identifying/pricing change orders and preparing estimates for projects.
Preparing a design/build project estimate based on design criteria.
Meeting with customers to present proposals and cost estimates.
Coordinating the acquisition of all materials, monitoring tools and equipment requirements with the project team and the warehouse.
Assuring a timely completion of a project including the completion of punch-list items, the submittal of accurate as-built drawings, operation, and maintenance manuals.
Education, Experience & Technical Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in construction specific to Telecommunications & Security Systems with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Science, Information Technology, Construction Management, or Engineering discipline.
Proficiency in the Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling Method and General Contractor Schedules.
Extensive experience leading diverse teams & projects with construction budgets valued between $500K - $10M+ in Telecommunication Scopes.
4+ years of experience & established knowledge in complex markets on projects specific to Federal Aviation, & Government Airports, Higher-Education, Information Transit Systems.
Required knowledge within construction low-voltage functions including self-perform contracting, field coordination efforts, maintenance of schedule & prioritization of deliverable deadlines tied to each specialty-trade simultaneously.
Ability to utilize software including Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Accubid, Primavera P6, Microsoft Office.
