Job Title: DeltaV Automation Engineer

Location: Rahway, NJ

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled DeltaV Automation Engineer to support operations within the Small-Scale Organics (SSO) Pilot Plant, a GMP-regulated facility that enables clinical supply manufacturing, new process demonstrations, and seamless technology transfers to commercial sites. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing automation systems, ensuring GMP and Safety & Environmental (S&E) compliance, and contributing to the operational readiness of a highly manual batch processing plant.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and support automation changes aligned with GMP and S&E requirements.

Ensure operational readiness of batch processing equipment and systems.

Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis to minimize system downtime.

Participate in compliance investigations and manage change controls.

Collaborate with internal teams (IT, QA, engineering) and external vendors to deliver automation solutions.

Support the architecture, design, and qualification of automation systems.

Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives within the facility.

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with DeltaV and other automation systems (DCS, HMI, SCADA, PLC, I&C).

Experience in industrial automation, particularly within regulated manufacturing environments.

Knowledge of automation system lifecycle, architecture, startup, and qualification.

Familiarity with GAMP guidelines and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
