Position Type: Part-time, adjunct

Semester: Fall 2025 and Spring 2026

Compensation: $800 - $950 per credit, based on adjunct faculty rank (determined by education and experience)

Position Overview:

NHTI is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach IST 200C: Spreadsheets. This course provides students with essential knowledge in the use of spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel), as used in information technology, business, and other professional settings, focusing on practical applications and real-world relevance.

Lecture Hours: 3

Lab/Practicum Hours: none

Schedule: fall semester needs include a) an in-person section on Tuesdays, 2-4:50 p.m., and b) a fully online, asynchronous section; spring needs, both in-person and online, are to be determined

Location: NHTI Campus, Concord, NH

Course Description:

This course provides training in introductory and advanced topics related to spreadsheet creation, formatting, and printing. Topics include row and column operations, formula creation (including functions), graph creation and printing, database management techniques, and macro design and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach the assigned course using provided curriculum and instructional materials aligned with program standards

Facilitate class discussions, assignments, and assessments to foster student engagement and learning

Provide regular feedback and maintain accurate records of student progress

Maintain professional currency in the field and comply with college policies and standards

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Master’s degree in Information Technology or a closely related field

Experience: Prior teaching experience and familiarity with Canvas (or similar LMS) preferred.

Residency: Must reside in NH, VT, ME, MA, RI, or CT
