The Prototype Operator will maintain continuous improvement in quality & productivity. Focus on job and be self-

motivated. Keep safe by wearing all required protective equipment including safety glasses. Troubleshoot and solve problems independently.

Education, Experience, Training and/or Skills Required:

2-3 years experience required.

High School Diploma

Ability to work with mathematical concepts and conversions.

Ability to work with statistical data and apply concepts such as whole numbers and fractions, ratios and proportions and work with measurement devices.

Ability to accurately identify and analyze trends.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Experience in Prototype Sheet Metal (2-3yrs exp: $25hr, 30+yrs closer to $50hr.)

Must have hydraulic press experience working with Kirkside dies, Aluminum and Steel dies

Die barbering, die spotting, set up and development is required using 2, 3 and 4 piece die sets

Must be willing to develop and run prototype stampings which may include blank development and developing a prototype die process for others to follow
