Position Summary
The IT User Support Senior Analyst is the liaison between clients and system development team to ensure that front end development meets user needs. He/She is able to provide details about user functionality needs and ensure that the system design meets those needs. He/She also uses wire framing and other design tools to develop user scope. The IT User Support Senior Analyst provides all levels of user support for CPACSweb, SMS, and WMSy, and supplement the iBuy, UDW+ systems support for FCM users. The IT User Support Senior Analyst is responsible for reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of space data. This requires knowledge of space terminology particularly in a higher education context, as well as best practices for architectural graphic standards. He/She is involved in the review of vendor-produced architectural drawings, which requires collaboration with the Office of Construction Management to ensure compliance with NYU Standards. He/She also serves as a liaison to internal NYU clients regarding their space data. Finally, they will also need working knowledge of Electrical, Facilities, Telecom, Engineering shop drawings, liaison with Architect and Engineering firms, and develop standards to be followed by these firms while submitting shop drawings for NYU projects.
Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Education:A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is preferred. Required Experience:3-5 years’ related experience or an equivalent combination. Must include experience with user support, some financial reporting and analyzing financial data. Familiarity with Self Service User Support methodologies and best practices. Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD. Familiarity with Higher Education Space Reporting needs is a plus. Having wire framing and graphic skills is a plus. Preferred Experience:Service Now testing experience Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Ability to learn complex systems from user perspective. Understanding of basic system architecture. Good verbal and written communication skills. Excellent analytical, problem solving and inter-personal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team/project-oriented environment. Willingness to learn new technical skills and accommodate evolving technologies. Hands-on experience with user support and financial reporting. Ability to understand complex finance related concepts, evaluate data quality and analyze large data sets. Ability to interpret and communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience is required. Ability to prioritize and execute multiple work tasks. Ability to interact effectively with a diverse population is required. Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Working knowledge of Electrical, Facilities, Telecom, Engineering shop drawings.
