Manage all aspects of employee benefit programs and payroll, including health benefits, 401(k), and time off. Ensure the Company is following payroll & benefits-related laws, regulations, and trends.
Responsibilities
Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the Company’s health and welfare programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, and 401(k).
Stays up to date on new employee benefits-related laws, regulations, and trends and performs research and analysis related to benefit plans to assist in plan maintenance and improvement.
Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files, maintain group benefits database, and update employee payroll records.
Manage relationships with third parties to ensure that agreed-upon service levels are met and any issues are promptly addressed. Review benefit contracts for accuracy and monitor contracts to ensure compliance with negotiated terms and conditions.
Oversee the accurate processing and reporting of employee payroll, maintenance of payroll records reporting and payment of tax withholdings and 401(k) withholdings, accruals and balances, and investigation and resolution of payroll issues.
Administer employee savings plans including the company’s 401(k) plan and deferred compensation programs.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to payroll, including regulations related to wages, salaries, fringe benefits, deductions, and disbursements of funds.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
5+ years of related work experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively communicate to internal and external customers at all levels, verbally and in writing.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Thorough knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA requirements.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Extensive use of ADP WorkForceNow is preferred.
