About the Role

The Data Analyst plays a vital role in transforming Quality Assurance (QA) audit findings into actionable insights that improve program performance and ensure compliance with Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) standards. This position supports the integration of data and quality assurance by managing dashboards, analyzing trends, and ensuring the accuracy of program-level reporting across Sponsor Services.

What You’ll Do

The position is driven by a desire to understand and make a meaningful impact on humanitarian-oriented service opportunities. This position is keenly aware of the role that data can play in delivering insight and change within an organization. The Data Analyst possesses an analytical mind, interminable curiosity, and creative spirit. The role is responsible for creating routine and ad hoc data reports, is experienced with data cleaning, data manipulation, and data visualization methods. The role is primarily responsible for creating routine and ad hoc data reports using Tableau. and will also assist with data cleaning, data manipulation, and data coding and descriptive analysis in either SPSS or R. The position will work across teams, including case managers, quality assurance specialists, application development teams, and TPG leadership. The ideal candidate will possess a customer service mentality/sense of urgency and commitment to data quality and reporting accuracy. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Data Integration & Reporting

Develop and maintain integrated QA/data dashboards that visualize audit findings, operational KPIs, and trend analyses.

Collaborate with the QA team and Case Review Team (CRT) to create reporting structures that support real-time decision-making and contract monitoring.

Performance Monitoring

Track quality performance indicators across teams (Unification Specialists, CRT, Regional Coordinators).

Analyze length of stay (LOS), remand rates, documentation errors, and audit pass rates to detect patterns and risks.

Audit Data Support

Compile and validate data from internal audit reviews to ensure completeness and integrity.

Support Operations Quality Analysts and the QA Manager in generating monthly audit summaries and trend reports.

Predictive & Risk Analytics

Work with the Innovation and Quality team to develop predictive models that flag high-risk cases or patterns of non-compliance.

Leverage data to inform early interventions, quality coaching, and corrective action planning.

Tool Development & Automation

Support the development of automated QA tools and workflows using business intelligence (BI) platforms.

Help streamline data collection processes through automation, improving accuracy and reducing manual workload.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Support

Attend weekly syncs with QA and CRT leads to share insights, refine data models, and align metrics with program goals.

Present findings to leadership and contribute to weekly, quarterly and annual reports shared with ORR and external evaluators.

Documentation & Data Governance

Ensure all data dashboards, extracts, and reports adhere to data privacy, federal compliance, and contract standards.

Maintain documentation on all data processes, methodologies, and change logs for audit-readiness.

Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice – management reserves the right to revise these duties as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Public Health, similar programs is highly preferred or can be replaced by Bachelor’s degree and equivalent employment experience.

Data software experience, including:

2+ years of experience working with PowerBI (preferred) or Tableau.

Experience creating visualization within Tableau is preferred.

2+ years of experience in working with software to examine, clean, and analyze data. Syntax development preferred.

2+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel using advanced formulas to examine, clean, and analyze data.

Strong writing skills.

Strong computer skills in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Teams.

Ability to type 55 wpm.

All duties are performed via a government approved computer system.

Work Environment

This is a remote opportunity where occasional travel could be required. Since this is a remote role, you must have a dedicated workspace conducive to full videoconferencing (camera and audio) for facilitating webinars and online discussions.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, but hours could vary depending on needs. May include travel, evenings, and weekends to meet different time zones and projects.

Condition of Employment

Complete a rigorous culture and competency testing process.

Complete a Drug Test.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

A valid U.S. Driver’s license.

Have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Security Clearance/Background Check Requirements

Applicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Internal background check to the satisfaction of contract requirements.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Child Abuse/Neglect Report (CAN) or child protective services check with no adverse findings.

U.S. Residency requirement - 3 consecutive years in the last 5 years.

Physical Demands

Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees.

Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 10% of the time.

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 10% of the time.

Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type and use a telephone system 100% of the time.

Sitting: Sitting for prolonged and extended periods of time.
