Job Description:

We are seeking an expert in Navy Personnel, Maintenance, Training, or Ordnance Management with the desire to be a Software Quality Assurance Tester. You’ll be joining our Navy Readiness Reporting Enterprise team supporting U.S. Navy Fleet Forces Command. If you’re excited about supporting readiness data analysis and reporting for the United States Navy, this might be the perfect fit for you.

In this role, you’ll be working in a fast-paced environment where you’ll write, execute, and maintain test scripts and queries. You’ll be in constant communication with our Software Development Team to ensure everything runs smoothly. Your creativity and problem-solving skills will be put to good use as you help us maintain the highest standards of quality.

In this hybrid role, you can expect to split your time between our company office in Norfolk and the Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads, with opportunity for some remote work as well.

Responsibilities include:

Write, execute, and maintain test scripts and queries

Communicate daily with the Software Development Team

Ensure software quality through various testing techniques

Identify, document, and prioritize technical issues and bugs

Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Gather and document business requirements

Here's what you need:

At least 4+ years of experience supporting Navy Personnel, Maintenance, Supply, Training, or Ordnance Management

Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and process improvement experience

Experience in a Navy or other DoD work environment

Ability to work as a member of a team or individually

Self-starter with a desire to learn the skills needed to be a software tester

Nice to Have:

Lean/Six-Sigma experience or certification

Software development experience

Experience in writing test cases, creating test scenarios, executing test scripts, and analyzing test results

Expertise with system testing, integration testing, functional testing, backend testing, regression testing, or user acceptance testing

Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve testing

Security Clearance:

Secret clearance

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
