What You Will Contribute:

The CAD/PLM Systems Administrator will manage, maintain, and optimize our global Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and all Computer Aided Design (CAD) platforms for the organization. This position will be responsible for providing technical expertise, system testing and implementation, user training, and strategic enterprise system design support for our various business units. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and facility CAD software and experience leading PLM tools.

Job Duties:

Participate in the development, implementation, and enforcement of CAD standards and Policy and Procedures regarding dimensioning, text annotations, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), 3D modeling standards for downstream use and Data Exchange, and other aspects of CAD usage and software administration

Participate in the creation of and recommend strategies for document management as it relates to Product-focused support documentation, specifications, test results, CAD user outputs, including collection, revision, and archive

Analyze current CAD application usage and plan for growth or increases in software licensing and network capacity

Evaluate current and new systems and products to gather feedback, enhance tool quality and best practices, and implement process improvements

Configure and customize PLM tool (PTC Windchill) to meet the specific needs of the organization

Provide technical support to users of the PLM system and CAD software, troubleshooting issues and ensuring optimal system performance

Oversee global CAD budget, software upgrades, testing, and licensing compliance

Ensure seamless integration of PLM systems with other enterprise tools, such as ERP and CAD software

Conduct training sessions to educate employees on PLM tools, CAD Software, processes, and best practices

Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for global CAD systems, including mechanical CAD (Creo Parametric and Schematic), electrical CAD (Altium), Drawing Viewers, and other programs; stay current with industry trends, conduct annual risk assessments, and make strategic recommendations

Provide feedback to management and other internal departments on product usage problem areas

Develop and maintain 5-year strategic roadmap for Global CAD infrastructure

Assist in maintaining and supporting the ER system and workflow Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, IT or a related field required

5+ years of experience in CAD administration and PLM system configuration desired; Significant experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree Qualifications:

Knowledge in the areas of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Product Data Management (PDM), and Mechanical, Electrical, and Manufacturing and Facility Computer Aided Design (CAD) Management required

Microsoft Professional Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, etc. required

Proficiency with CAD Software including but not limited to Creo, AutoCAD, Altium, Powermill, Solidworks, Ansys required Competencies:
