The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an experienced Enterprise Solution Architect to support the Department of State in Rosslyn, VA by delivering architectural leadership, strategic guidance, and enterprise services across the organization’s enterprise and platform teams. This key position plays a critical role in shaping IT modernization efforts and advancing secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions.
The Enterprise Solution Architect leads strategic and tactical planning for cloud migration efforts, including refactoring applications to leverage modern cloud capabilities, services, and resources. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise roadmaps, establishing cloud security and design best practices, and guiding the creation and implementation of reference architectures. The Architect also leads teams of architects and technical experts to ensure consistent, secure, and forward-looking solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Lead enterprise-level cloud and infrastructure architecture efforts, aligning with mission objectives and modernization strategies.
• Provide strategic technical guidance on application refactoring, cloud migration, and platform optimization.
• Develop and maintain multi-year roadmaps for enterprise architecture initiatives and modernization activities.
• Create and maintain reference architectures and reusable design patterns across enterprise systems.
• Define, document, and promote best practices in security, design, and deployment for cloud-native and hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, development, operations, and governance teams to ensure secure and compliant architecture designs.
• Evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks for potential adoption in the enterprise environment.
• Mentor and lead a team of architects and technical specialists.
• Ensure architectural alignment with Federal enterprise architecture frameworks and compliance with FISMA and NIST controls.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; advanced degree preferred.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure, including virtual networks and virtual machines.
• A minimum of four (4) years of experience with Microsoft Azure, including hands-on experience with both Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
• Experience leading or contributing to large-scale cloud migrations or application modernization projects.
• Strong understanding of Federal IT security standards, particularly FISMA and NIST 800-53 at the Moderate and High baselines.
Desired:
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Microsoft certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Security Engineer Associate.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $119,800 - $263,600
