Sr. QA Engineer

We have a Senior/Principal QA Engineer opportunity with a growing team focused on security and data backup solutions. This is a hybrid role based out of Monmouth County, NJ. The role involves ensuring product reliability, compatibility, and performance across a mix of manual and automation testing in Linux-based environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead regression, compatibility, and exploratory testing for enterprise-grade security/backup products.

Develop and execute test plans for new features, integrations, and third-party system updates (e.g., storage platforms, databases, APIs).

Validate product behavior across full-stack environments, including Linux systems, VMs, databases, and backup solutions.

Support automation efforts (e.g., PyTest, Playwright) while prioritizing hands-on manual testing.

Investigate complex issues reported by customers or internal teams.

Collaborate with global Agile teams to ensure high-quality releases.

Ideal Background:

7–10+ years in QA/testing for software products, with deep expertise in manual testing.

Strong Linux environment experience (CLI, scripting, system setup).

Familiarity with backup/storage technologies (e.g., Dell, Veritas, Commvault) and/or databases (backups, encryption, admin).

Hands-on with REST APIs (Postman, cURL), Bash/Python scripting, and virtualized environments.

Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum and collaborating across time zones.

Bonus: Windows OS, Jira/Xray, or database administration experience.

Salary Range: $135k-$165k with excellent benefits.
