Role Summary
My client is seeking an experienced Accelerator Physicist to lead and support the development of a high-reliability ion source and low-energy beamline for their next-generation accelerator systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize beam dynamics models for the ion source and LEBT.
Design and support ion source test benches for stable, high-intensity proton beams.
Implement fault-tolerant, redundant system strategies.
Conduct experiments and analyze diagnostics data to ensure system performance and reliability.
Drive reliability-centered design through proactive failure analysis.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Accelerator or Particle Physics (or related field).
Strong expertise in beam dynamics and accelerator system modeling (e.g., IBSIMU, TRACEWIN).
Proven experience with reliability analysis and mitigation strategies.
Desirable Skills
Hands-on work with ion sources and ECR systems.
Experience with fault-tolerant design in accelerator environments.
Familiarity with advanced diagnostics and AI-assisted data analysis.
