Automation Engineer

The Judge Group is seeking an Controls Engineer for a global manufacturing Group located in Sioux City, IA.

COMPENSATION: 100k - 120k based on experience (plus bonus)

MUST HAVE: A US Citizen or a Green Card Holder (No exceptions please)

RELOCATION: Provided for the right candidate

MUST HAVE: AS/BS (Engineering Preferred)

MUST HAVE: 2+ years of Automation / Instrumentation experience in a manufacturing environment (Preferably in food or pharma)

MUST HAVE: Able to travel as needed (About 20%)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work on automation and process engineering projects and challenges

- Participate in Capital Projects and Process Improvement projects

- Manage engineering projects

- Work with operations personnel on automation and process problems

- Maintain automation database management

- Oversee automation systems (PLC’s, HMI, Clients (Thick & Thin), Networks, UPS, etc)

- Develop process control integration projects

- Program and test PLC and HMI based control systems

- Run acceptance testing procedures

- Perform root cause analysis

- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and participate in the rotating on-call system to provide 24/7/365 coverage for the sites

REQUIREMENTS:

- BS in Engineering )EE, CE, ME)

- 2+ years of Automation / Instrumentation experience in a manufacturing environment (Preferably in food or pharma)

- Able to travel as needed (About 20%)
