The Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) Foreman is responsible for overseeing the full I&E system currently in the field. The focus is on striving to achieve top HSE performance while maximizing operational efficiencies and asset potential. The successful candidate will have a strong technical working knowledge in PLC programming and operation, extensive knowledge of SCADA monitoring systems and troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues (Low and High Voltage).

· Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize and correct electrical and automation related problems

· Manage automation and SCADA programs

· Reports to the Production Superintendent

Major Responsibilities:

Manage I&E automation program

Duties include installing, inspecting, maintaining, operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating various mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic equipment along with completing all appropriate documentation associated with the duties

Work with I&E and automation personnel as needed to maintain I/O from device through PLCs into SCADA systems.

Provide coordination from both remote and on-site support for automation issues at all locations

Proactively identify potential or developing field issues and alerting Superintendent/Production Engineering Manger for immediate remediation

Provide in house training to field personnel on equipment and processes as needed

Ability to work on both High and Low Voltage equipment a must

Lead commissioning efforts for all facility and infrastructure projects on future capital projects

Qualifications and Capabilities

· Minimum of 10 years of electrical service in a similar hazardous environment

· Minimum of 5 years of electrical supervisory experience and prior field instrumentation required

· Extensive knowledge of the National Electric Code

· Have knowledge of and the ability to teach oil and gas process controls and automation

· Knowledge and experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints and diagrams

· Ability to efficiently prioritize and coordinate tasks

· Knowledge and experience applying and interpreting results from common electrical measurement instruments (voltmeter, ammeter, ohmmeter, oscilloscope, etc.)

· Experience with various programmable logic controllers

· Must have the ability and willingness to spend long hours in the field during critical activities

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

Current Journeyman’s license required

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers

Competencies, Skills, and Abilities:

Must respond to, and address, callouts, and emergencies during and after regular business hours including after dark hours

Ability to work with a field staff, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules

Ability to write and troubleshoot logic in PLC and other automation programs

Completing general electrical repairs and maintenance

Completing tasks with SCADA and monitoring performance

Transferring program registers to the SCADA format for efficient well initialization
