Join the team that’s the world leader of design and manufacturing for expeditionary equipment! This Electrical Engineer role will work on our line of Environmental Control Units (ECUs), heater systems, HVAC systems, and Chemical, Biological, Radiological Nuclear (CBRN) filtration equipment.
The Electrical Engineer assists in design, development, implementation, and analysis of parts, systems and technical processes. Performs engineering design and analysis tasks with standard techniques. Works with mechanical engineering, other electrical engineers, and designers in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods and reports. Completes engineering projects and electro-mechanical system designs to support the successful development, implementation, and sustainment of new systems and products, or modifications and revisions to current systems and products.
The Electrical Engineer position offers a variety of engineering opportunities including testing, design, 2D drafting, analysis, and prototyping.
Primary and Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Control system design
• Power system design, including VFDs
• Develop electrical schematics
• Develop wiring diagrams
• Wire harness development, including wire lists
• 2D CAD design experience required (AutoCAD software experience preferred)
• Work with mechanical engineers and designers to build 3D electrical enclosure layouts (Solid Works experience would be considered a plus)
• Complete designs with and direct technical activities of assigned designers and technicians
• Use of Product Data Management (PDM) software for revision control (Solid Works EPDM experience would be considered a plus)
• Create/edit BOMs using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (SAP experience preferred)
• Familiarity with analog and digital electrical circuits and components
• Familiarity with electrical component selection and panel wiring
• Familiarity with communication buses such as RS232/RS422/RS485, CAN bus, LVSB, and Ethernet preferred
• Follow standard project management practices

Qualifications
• BS in Engineering from an accredited school and existing work experience, or equivalent work experience are required. MS in Engineering or passed FE exam preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience required. Minimum of 3 years work experience + advanced degree, or 5 years work experience + bachelor’s degree.
