Job Purpose
The Process Control Engineer is responsible for leading process/continuous improvement efforts for -the assigned process area(s) of the facility resulting in improved safety performance, decreased waste and off quality product providing downstream customers with the best products available and increased equipment efficiencies and OEE. The Process Control Engineer will work closely with Production Management to increase productivity and strive to ensure we are producing first quality products. The Process Control Engineer and Department Manager must work jointly as a team. Process Control Engineer responsibilities include safety, quality, efficiency, productivity improvements as well as process and product innovation.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Constantly strive to improve the quality level of the assigned products and processes.
· Strive to improve the quality of the first quality for the assigned processes and products, with the objective being to drive the defect level to zero utilizing data analysis and problem-solving tools.
· Develop and maintain detailed and complete process specifications.
· Strive to optimize the assigned processes for increased productivity, minimum energy consumption, maximum process efficiency and minimum total system cost.
· Participate actively in our safety process including identifying hazards and help eliminate all safety hazards associated with the assigned processes.
· Share accountability for all non-conformance and responsible for receiving customer complaints and investigating, documenting, and implementing corrective action.
· The Process Control Engineer should constantly seek to determine how the process can be modified to improve existing products or produce new products.
· Stay up-to-date and recommend the use of the latest technological developments in machinery, raw materials and methods associated with the process, as well as preceding and subsequent processes.
· Work with the team for proper utilization of process monitoring and feedback systems and specifically, statistical quality control techniques.
· Must be an interface between the production management, suppliers, and customers so that both process and production functions understand the effect of any changes to the processes or products that reach our customers
· The Process Control Engineer is responsible for maintaining quality records applicable to their process(s).
· Identify and correct any nonconformities in the Quality System as it relates to their area of responsibility including implementation of a temporary machine specification deviating from original machine specification as needed.
· Responsible for developing and maintaining assigned process(s) SOPs.
· Work as necessary with NPD to set up and follow new product developments through area of ownership. Including performing trials and evaluations.
· Develop and maintain TPM system for assigned process(s).
· Responsible for Lean activities such as 5s and Kaizen events in assigned areas.

Qualifications
· Education: Engineering background and degree preferred;
· Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing process/ quality control/assurance, Lean processes
· Courses/Certifications/Training: Lean Six Sigma, Lean, Process/ people management
