Position Overview:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and coordination of activities of production workers in processing materials and manufacturing products. The Production Supervisor interacts with Sanitation, Warehouse, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, and Operations staff to insure the production of products meeting quality standards in a timely fashion.
Responsibilities:
Supervises and manages activities directly related to the daily business and department needs;
Develops, analyzes, and delivers simple to complex information to direct reports;
Provide immediate supervision to a group of employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, and
maintaining schedules;
Mentors and leads production associates;
Ensure associates are trained for and compliant with all applicable operations;
Assigns duties and operations based on daily department needs;
Ensures quality products are produced and department metrics are achieved;
Effectively communicates daily schedules, goals, quality issues/concerns between shifts to ensure expectations are met;
Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action;
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and trainings;
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
Safeguards and maintains company equipment and property, including Personal Protection Equipment (PPE);
Participate in Safety Investigations after an accident and give recommendations.
Audit SOP's.
Ensures all areas are kept clean at all times;
Attends all company training sessions; and
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to train on food safety, food quality, regulatory requirements, safety, customer service and continuous improvement.
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience managing or supervising employees in a manufacturing/production environment
Good work history and ability to learn
Minimum computer skills at intermediate level
Excellent written and verbal communication
Basic decision making and problem solving skills
Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Able to meet physical demands in work environment as generally described below
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or 4-5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
Food Safety & Quality Requirements/Responsibilities:
Adheres to all Food Safety/Quality SOP’s
Accurately completes require Food Safety & Quality Records
Communicates any known or suspected Food Safety/ Quality issues to the Q.A Manager and Department Manager.
Attends all Food Safety/Quality training sessions

crouch; talk and hear.
Work Environment:
Work is normally performed in a warehouse/production environment As part of the job requirements employee may be exposed to work in a production setting and cold temperature (-20 degrees) at times.
Must be flexible with work schedule that supports a 24 hour production facility. Schedule may include weekends.
