Software Engineer in Test

Job Title: SDET(JMeter Specialist)

Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid)

Job Description:

We are seeking a SDET. This role is primarily focused on performance and functionality testing, with a strong emphasis on data comparison and JMeter hands-on expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts using JMeter

Conduct performance and functionality testing across platforms

Perform data comparison and validation for test results

Customize automation scripts using Java and Python

Collaborate with developers and QA teams to integrate performance testing into CI/CD workflows

Utilize tools like LoadRunner, JMeter-API, and Java-based libraries for performance testing

Work within BDD/TDD frameworks to ensure test coverage and quality

Must-Have Skills:

Hands-on experience with JMeter (non-negotiable)

Solid understanding of performance testing principles and execution

Background in Java and experience with Python

Ability to develop and customize scripts for performance and functional test scenarios

Experience with tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter-API, and Java-based testing libraries

Understanding of BDD/TDD methodologies

Platform Environment:

60% Python / 40% Java applications running on AWS

Emphasis on automation, scalability, and performance testing integration
