Trick Dog Technology is a nationwide technology integrator specializing in physical security systems, access control, and low-voltage infrastructure. As we expand our Florida operations, we’re looking for a Low Voltage Technician who’s hands-on, reliable, and ready to grow with us.
What You'll Do
Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling for access control, security cameras, and network devices
Mount, wire, and configure security hardware including door strikes, maglocks, card readers, REX sensors, and alarm panels
Perform equipment setup and programming for systems like Verkada, Lenel, and other access control platforms
Troubleshoot wiring issues, connectivity problems, and equipment malfunctions both on-site and remotely
Review and interpret floor plans, job scopes, and customer documentation
Work directly with project managers and remote support engineers to ensure work meets quality and timeline expectations
Document installations, submit job site photos, and communicate progress through digital tools like Smartsheet or similar
Occasionally assist with remote support and scoping when not in the field
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of experience in low voltage cabling or commercial security installations
Comfortable with basic hand and power tools, ladders, and working indoors/outdoors
Familiarity with access control and surveillance system hardware (e.g., Verkada, Lenel, Openpath, Brivo)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Professional, reliable, and able to communicate clearly with customers and internal teams
Willingness to occasionally travel to support regional projects (with notice)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Preferred (but not required):
Experience with camera system setup, NVRs, PoE switches, and IP networking
Understanding of power supplies, relays, and door hardware configuration
Verkada Certification or equivalent is a plus
OSHA 10/30, Lift Certification, or State Low Voltage License a plus
