About the Job:
Anglepoint is seeking a Senior Back End Software Engineer to join our Software Engineering team, playing a key role in building and scaling our software solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust back-end systems that power our platforms. This is a vital-impactful role that requires strong technical expertise, collaboration across cross-functional teams, and a passion for delivering scalable, secure, and efficient software.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in modern backend technologies, cloud platforms, and agile development practices, along with a proactive mindset to contribute to architecture decisions and continuous improvement.
As a Senior Back End Software Engineer, you will:

Design, implement, and maintain scalable systems from cradle to prod.

Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.

Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to other team members.
Who You Are:
7+ years of professional backend end development.
4+ years of professional development with functional languages.
Proficiency in functional programming paradigm, concurrency, relational databases, and API design (RESTful, GraphQL, etc).
Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, and Domain Driven Design.
3+ years extensively using cloud-native services using 2 or more cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, & Azure.
Proficiency in back-end technologies & general programming languages, frameworks, protocols, & technologies such as Elixir, Python, SQL, NoSQL,etc. and a deep knowledge of their relative pros & cons and which use cases they best serve.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to debug and resolve complex technical challenges independently.
Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small technical teams.
Ability & willingness to travel to and work from office in Lindon, UT at least twice per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of professional development with functional languages.
Experience with GitHub Workflows, AWS services.
Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree(s) in computer science, engineering, or related fields.
