Landscape Architect

Key Responsibilities:

Design Conceptualization & Planning:

Collaborate with clients to create innovative residential landscape designs.

Develop plans using CAD, 3D modeling tools, and sketches.

Integrate hardscapes, plantings, lighting, and water features.

Project Coordination:

Prepare detailed site and planting plans.

Work with contractors and suppliers to ensure design implementation.

Client Communication:

Provide regular updates and address client concerns throughout design and installation.

Site Assessment:

Analyze soil, drainage, and climate to influence design.

Assess site conditions for potential improvements.

Budget Management:

Develop and manage project budgets.

Provide accurate cost estimates for materials and labor.

Continual Learning:

Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.

Participate in workshops and professional development.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Design, or related field.

Experience:

2+ years of landscape design experience with a portfolio.

Proficient in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.).

Skills:

Strong design, presentation, and communication skills.

Knowledge of FL plant species and sustainable landscaping.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with 3D modeling (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino).

Familiarity with large-scale or urban landscape projects.
