️ Air Export Manager – Freight Forwarding

Location: Herndon, VA (near Dulles Airport)

Employment Type: Full-Time On-site (5 days/week)

Salary Range: $75,000–$90,000 + Bonus (based on branch performance)

We’re seeking an experienced Air Export Manager to lead a dynamic freight forwarding team at a high-performing branch near Dulles Airport. This is an excellent opportunity for a logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced international environment and has a strong background in air freight export operations and team leadership.

What You'll Do:

Oversee day-to-day air export operations, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective shipment handling

Ensure accuracy in documentation, routing, and customer service across the team

Maintain a deep understanding of TSA regulations, AES filings, and international air cargo compliance

Manage vendor and airline relationships to support service quality and cost efficiency

Collaborate with branch and regional leadership on performance goals, KPIs, and continuous improvement

Participate in planning and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational enhancements

What We're Looking For:

3+ years of experience in air export freight forwarding, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role

Strong working knowledge of IATA, TSA, and air cargo compliance requirements

Proven ability to manage and motivate teams in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Proficiency in freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office Suite
