Production Manager – Shakuff

Shakuff is the leading custom lighting partner for high-end residential clients and interior design

We recently expanded our production space into a factory in Port Jervis, NY, and we are

seeking a Production Manager to join our team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented, with strong organizational

and communication skills. While prior experience in production management is a plus, we are

looking for someone who is excited to take ownership of this role and contribute to our

company’s continued success. The Production Manager will report directly to the Owner and

oversee all aspects of production.

Key Responsibilities:

● Ensure production timelines are met and optimize workflow efficiency.

● Oversee the entire production process, ensuring quality and consistency in all products.

● Manage and lead the production team, including scheduling, HR coordination (with the

Executive team), and team development.

● Generate and prioritize production work based on demand.

● Maintain vendor relationships, both domestic and international, and source new parts as

necessary.

● Track inventory and handle purchasing of supplies and parts.

● Conduct quality control checks on incoming merchandise and finished products.

● Ensure that all orders are accurately fulfilled and meet Shakuff’s high quality standards.

● Manage the production space and ensure an organized, safe, and efficient work

environment.

● Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Engineering teams to meet

business needs.

● Oversee special projects from start to finish, ensuring smooth execution.

● Identify and address operational challenges, implementing innovative solutions for

continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

● 3+ years of experience in production management or related role.

● Strong organizational and leadership skills.

● Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

● Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.

● Basic understanding of electrical systems and lighting fixtures preferred.

● Familiarity with modern technology and computer systems.

● Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

● Punctuality and reliability are essential.

Schedule & Compensation:

● Hours:

Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch break)

Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

● Salary: Competitive, paid every other Friday.
