Thriving CRE firm with national operations is expanding its development team with a Construction Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing industrial projects that range from $500,000 to over $20M and consist of small renovations, extensive repositioning, and ground-up developments.

Responsibilities:

Manage overall project/construction management services while collaborating with internal (leasing, property management, acquisitions, finance) and external (tenants) clients

Communicate clearly and professionally to clients, consultants, vendors, and peers

Lead project teams to ensure timely accomplishment of project objectives

Responsible for submitting building permits and following up with any issues

Plan revision submissions to a municipality

Prepare contracts and MSA’s for all disciplines (typically architects, engineers, and general contractors)

Interface and coordinate with asset and property managers and other in-house personnel to facilitate the construction management process

Partner with corporate accounting/finance to assist in accurate internal accounting and corporate budgeting and forecasting, as well as yield analysis

Work cross-functionally with the leasing team to ensure timely completion of TI/CAPEX projects with no impact on tenants (move-ins)

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (Construction, Architecture, Engineering, etc.)

5+ years of construction and/or developer experience (GC/subcontractor, property management or CM owner rep)

Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments (typically managing a portfolio of approx. 2-3 assets)

Experience with construction management processes, means, and methods, specific to the industrial sector

Strong understanding of industrial construction processes, including structural steel, concrete work, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) system

Expertise BlueBeam, ProCore, Yardi, and/or Buildertrend
