Position Overview:
The Area Account Manager promotes sales of products to agricultural and other associated markets. Account Managers are to establish and maintain strong relationships with current and potential customers. An Area Account manager is the main customer contact, providing and promoting accurate and detailed information on drivelines, gearboxes and any other mechanical power transmission products. programs or services offered by the company area account manager report directly to the general manager and the area manager supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate with current and potential customers
Selling Gearboxes, PTO Shafts, Motor Pumps, Valves and related equipment.
Communicate with the customer's engineering staff and product manager to promote the use of company products on customer's equipment
Submit pricing quotes
Assist in payment collection on past due accounts
Work closely with Customer Service representatives to assist with problem solving and provide the best service possible
Working with the Warranty Advisor and the RGA process (Return Goods Authorization)
Initiate and maintain forecast for sales areas and prepare budget and maintain plan as directed by the GM
Attend Trade Shows
Maintaining current knowledge of industry, market and trends
Other duties as assigned or requested
Requirements:
1-5 years of previous sales experience
Willing to Travel up to 75% to meet with customers on the west coast and southeast territories
Previous Account Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience the Agricultural Equipment market or some type of technical product sales.
Experience with Mechanical power transmission products
SAP and CRM Knowledge
