Based in Hollywood, FL, Sintavia, LLC designs and additively manufactures critical components for the Aerospace, Defense, & Space industry.

We are seeking a career-minded individual for the position of Multi Axis CNC Machinist and Programmer, preferably someone who is looking for long-term growth and potential.In addition to the job description below, candidates must possess strong customer service skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to multi-task at a quick pace. Our Machining department is constantly expanding, and we are looking for a talented, trained forward thinker to help keep projects moving while the business continually grows.

SUMMARY: Plans and lays out complex machining operations; ability to work with cad software for complex machining programs in an effective manner, fabricates and assembles various types and sizes of product parts, tooling, and assemblies strong work holding knowledge.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a multi axis computer numerical control (CNC) machine

Maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies

Coordinate subtractive manufacturing on projects cradle to grave

Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)

Set-Up/Program mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs

Assist in other tasks as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Able to Obtain DOD Secret Clearance

Strong knowledge in Programming (G&M code) and Fixture design

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 4 years of related experience

Knowledge of Manual machining preferred

Experienced in Nickel-Based alloys Machining a plus

Knowledge of proper use of cutting tools

Must be a highly motivated self-starter that can identify potential problems and collaborate with management to take action

Must possess willingness to assist where needed to ensure the company meets its goals and objectives on time

Must possess time management skills

Willing to learn and apply new skills

Good written and oral communication skills

Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively

Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups

Self-motivated, able to multi-task, and detail oriented

Strong organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills

Background checks and Drug Screenings will be completed on all candidates considered for hire.

REQUIREMENTS:

Mill/Lathe machining and programming required

Proficient with speed, feeds, tool coatings and applications

Must be able to learn procedures quickly and be a team player

Advanced/Basic Computer programs within the Microsoft suite (ie. Word, Excel, etc.)

Easily adapt to new organizations / technical environments

Project management on small to medium projects

CAD/CAM experience (MasterCam, Siemens NX, Fusion 360, etc.)

Technical mindset and basic mechanical knowledge

Familiarity with nickel alloys

MUST be a US Citizen

PREFERRED:

Manufacturing experience preferred

Aerospace experience preferred

Blue Light Scanning CNC work offsets

Wire EDM experience preferred

Fixture Design and Manufacturing

Siemens NX CAD/CAM experience preferred

Forklift and crane experience

Basic knowledge of Laser Powder Bed Fusion printing

Experience working with exotic alloys; titanium, inconel, hanes, niobium, stainless steels, ALSI10MG aluminum, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIORNMENT:

Frequently required to sit, walk, or stand

Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard

Frequently required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds

Work on Specialized equipment

Responsibilities are 95% onsite with 5% travel when acquiring local materials or tooling on an as needed basis.

Basic PPE onsite including full length pants, steel/composite shoes/boots, safety glasses, and on occasion: Versa Flow PAPs, face shield, ear plugs, and respirators.
