ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate embedded firmware functionality on ONU (Optical Network Unit) and OLT devices.
Conduct both manual and automated testing on fiber-based hardware platforms to ensure performance, stability, and compliance with design specifications under various conditions.
Identify, document, and report firmware defects, providing clear reproduction steps, logs, and diagnostic data to support developer troubleshooting.
Collaborate closely with firmware and hardware engineering teams to debug and resolve issues, verify fixes, and ensure end-to-end product stability.
Perform regression testing to validate that firmware updates maintain system integrity and do not introduce new issues.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks to improve test coverage and reduce test cycle time.
Maintain and track test hardware inventory, ensuring all optical devices and supporting equipment are properly managed and available for ongoing engineering work.
