Field Performance Advisor (FPA)

Raleigh, NC

The Field Performance Advisor (FPA) ensures optimal performance and continuous improvement among Suppliers through regular site visits. These suppliers, typically third-party contractors and service providers, handle various construction and maintenance tasks. The FPA addresses real-time issues, enhances crew effectiveness, tool utilization, and quality, and develops scalable process improvements. Representing Ericsson, the FPA collaborates with Suppliers to share feedback, offer recommendations, and implement efficient practices.

Job Responsibilities

Review and analyze site performance metrics, including cycle time, COP first-time-right rate, JHA compliance, Ericsson tool utilization, build quality, and customer-specific requirements.

Identify areas for Supplier performance improvement based on site reviews and metrics; provide feedback to the Territory Director and Suppliers, and collaborate on corrective actions.

Conduct on-site root-cause analysis of performance deficiencies, troubleshoot issues, and address real-time discrepancies related to safety and construction.

Plan daily and weekly site and Supplier visits to meet key targets and enhance overall market performance.

Serve as an internal partner to Ericsson's Senior Construction Managers and Project Management teams, supporting on-site requests such as customer meetings, site access, and construction drawing validation.

Design and develop process improvements for Supplier construction workflows and Ericsson tools, collaborating with Automation teams to enhance efficiency and quality.

Work with other FPAs nationwide to identify systemic issues and propose cross-market improvements.

Collect and report Supplier performance data to support deployment process changes and new process trials.

Build strong relationships with market Suppliers to foster a culture of continuous improvement and two-way feedback.

Ensure Suppliers understand and adhere to Ericsson and customer processes, methods, and tools for assigned sites.

Provide feedback on Ericsson and customer-specific training and information to improve delivery performance via Site Tracker and Power BI domain metrics.

Support governance for quarterly Supplier Business Reviews (QBRs), report field findings, and recommend improvements; own field-related actions from QBRs.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum 7+ years of relevant work/industry experience.

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience providing design solutions and guidance on order of operations.

Strong knowledge of general construction processes and procedures.

Experience managing and directing general contractor suppliers and estimating construction scopes (Civils, Ground, L&A, Backhaul, Maintenance Work).

Familiarity with Ericsson and customer construction and quality standards.

Ability to interface with customers, property owners, and internal/external stakeholders.

Strong understanding of contracts (leasing, vendor-facing, customer-facing) and financial acumen.

Proven ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and external partners.

Experience leading or influencing high-performing teams.

Solid understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to Ericsson and its suppliers.

Completion of OSHA 30-hour course for the telecommunications industry.

Prior experience with Ericsson equipment portfolio is a plus.
