Cost Manager – Pharmaceutical Greenfield Project

Location: Just Outside Raleigh, NC (Onsite)

Employment Type: Long-Term W2 Contract (US Citizens Only – No C2C)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Manager to join our team on a high-profile pharmaceutical greenfield construction project located just outside of Raleigh, NC. This is a long-term W2 contract opportunity, ideal for professionals with a strong background in construction cost control and project financial management. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring cost efficiency, budget integrity, and financial transparency throughout all phases of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage cost planning, estimating, budgeting, and cost control activities across all phases of the project lifecycle.

Monitor and report on construction budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.

Collaborate with project management, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to maintain alignment on cost targets.

Prepare and maintain detailed cost reports, variance analysis, and risk assessments.

Evaluate contractor payment applications, change orders, and contract variations.

Provide cost input into project scheduling, procurement, and reporting deliverables.

Ensure adherence to client financial processes, procedures, and controls.

Support project audits and funding requests with accurate documentation and cost substantiation.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5–10 years of construction cost management experience.

Proven track record supporting large-scale industrial or pharmaceutical facility projects, ideally with warehouse and/or aseptic production environments.

Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field preferred.

Quantity Surveyor background is highly advantageous.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and financial acumen.

Proficiency in industry-standard cost management tools (e.g., Excel, Primavera, SAP, or similar systems).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.

Additional Details:

This role requires onsite presence at the project location near Raleigh, NC.

US Citizenship is required (due to federal client requirements).

This is a W2 contract opportunity – C2C arrangements will not be considered.
