Senior Electrical Engineer Lead

Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer Lead to guide and support the development of complex electrical systems within their advanced product engineering team. This leadership role involves overseeing the design, analysis, and validation of power and control systems for innovative energy technologies. The ideal candidate brings both hands-on technical expertise and a proven track record of leading high-performing engineering teams.

Senior Electrical Engineer Lead Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers in the design and development of advanced energy storage systems.

Oversee project planning and delivery in collaboration with engineering leadership and project managers.

Provide technical direction across product hardware development, reliability assessments, and test validation.

Drive detailed electrical system design including low-voltage analog circuits, embedded controller integration, EMI mitigation, and safety protections.

Perform in-depth engineering analyses related to power distribution, thermal load, fault protection, and component-level FMEAs.

Ensure product designs align with relevant electrical codes and safety standards, including NEC and UL9540.

Engage cross-functional teams and external partners to resolve technical challenges and manage engineering deliverables.

Support customer inquiries, RFIs, and field issues with expert-level troubleshooting and debugging.

Contribute to continuous improvement of design documentation, manufacturing readiness, and change control processes.

Senior Electrical Engineer Lead Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

At least 8 years of experience in electrical or product development, preferably in energy storage, battery systems, or renewable technologies.

Minimum of 3 years leading engineering teams or technical projects.

Proficiency with analog and digital circuit design, embedded systems, and power conversion technologies.

Familiarity with high-voltage system architecture (>400V), industrial control systems, and serial communication protocols.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience managing budgets, schedules, and external engineering resources.

Comfortable producing and reviewing technical documentation, schematics, and compliance reports.

Salary: $150-170K/yr. base + annual bonus + RSU's + sign-on bonus + relocation assistance
